to reboot the franchise for them and now the new rumor that Josh Hutcherson has been cast in the role of Peter Parker/Spider man.
Thats reason number 1 why this reboot will bomb Sony was constantly pushing Sam Raimi to make changes (ultimate's) and add characters (Venom) I'm with Sam on those points. The Ultimate's line Marvel put out were horrible, end of story. and it was not time for Venom when 3 came around, Forcing venom in the film, pissed him off and well we all have seen what 3 turned into.
So now we have Mark Webb 1 movie under his belt, is he really gonna put up a fight with Sony? Maybe who knows, but chances are that he'll buckle like a belt under the pressure from Sony to go ultimate's. Second we get the kid from the Vampires assistant to be Spider man, I'm not bashing the kid but he doesn't look like Peter Parker to me, and Spider man's Smart ass attitude from him would seam cold and callous and not very friendly neighborhood Spider man Like.
Reason 2 Sony wanted to go “gritty, contemporary” with the new film, but so far a lot of people involved in the other Spider man franchise like writers and such,are now on board for this new one, meaning that now Sony can have what they wanted all along their version of Spider man.
What needs to happen is Sony needs to lose the rights, let them revert back to Marvel, so that Marvel Studios can make the best Spider man.
But for now we are all stuck with the
SONY SPIDER!
